The definition of genocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group._{(Defining Genocide)}  The genocide in Darfur Africa started in July of 2003 with the Janjaweed, an Arab tribe, which is a militia group. The Janjaweed have targeted the Fur, Zaghawa, and the Massaleit tribes for extinction. You would wonder where the Sudanese government is in all of this, well they would seem to appear to be trying to help and are publicly denying that it supports the Janjaweed, but it has been proven that they have been providing arms to the Janjaweed, the Janjaweed and the Sudanese government has been charged with war crimes against civilian population. How bad is that when you have these groups bent on destroying your people’s very existence, and your own government wont even help you in face have been charged with trying to help in your destruction. This is a big issue that needs to be resolved before an entire culture is completely obliterated by genocide._{(Defining Genocide)}
